The Citroën C1 has enjoyed roaring success since launch in June 2005, with more than 119,000 units sold worldwide.Small on the outside, big on the inside, the C1 hatchback fits perfectly into the Citroën
range with its go-getter personality. Boasting pert and appealing looks, the C1 has all the specifications required in the segment and is ideal for nipping around the city. Available in three- and five-door versions, the C1 is set to attract even more adepts with the release of a sport-themed special series in France on December 23.
Dubbed the C1 Chrono, the special series model will be produced in 800 units. Featuring C1 Pack equipment, the Chronos will be powered by the 1.0i petrol engine mated to one of two gearboxes: a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed SensoDrive automated manual.
Bonus equipment includes air conditioning, an RDS radio-CD player, a rev counter and 14-inch alloy wheels.
Citroën has added several features to the C1 Chrono to underline the model’s contemporary, dynamic styling, hotting up the hatch with stickers on the front doors, windscreen pillars, bonnet and tailgate. The special series also gets white rearview mirror housings, an elegant design feature taken up inside by white door handles and white surrounds for the electric window controls, air vents, rev counter and instrument panel, together with a white gear-lever base.
The Chrono special series dovetails perfectly with the C1′s dynamic styling, underscoring the vehicle’s lively, sporting demeanour. For the same specifications, the C1 Chrono special series represents a customer gain of
