See? Told you there’d be more press releases bearing details on impending debuts for the Paris Motor Show. Peugeot drops us yet another one with the Prologue concept which they claims is “[d]erived from the fusion of different worlds.”
It is Peugeot’s way of exploring what can be in store for us in the future. Well, that’s their intention but I somehow don’t quite get what’s so futuristic about this car. Aside from partly running on batteries (yes, the Prologue’s a hybrid), I don’t see anything too striking with this one. It just looks like your modern five-door compact crossover, if you ask me. Take Mazda’s Nagare design concept and those look damn futuristic.
Perhaps one good thing about this car though is that it packs a lot of punch for a hybrid. The gas-electric hybrid powerplant combination generates as much as 200 bhp. That’s quite a lot. And for eco-fiends, the car achieves significantly reduced emissions at 109 g/km.
